What are the changes that are being applied?
- Pro plans
- Included 3 members —> 1 member. Pricing will be $12/mo/member.
- Included storage 5TB —> 2 TB. Pricing will be $25/TB after the included 2TB
- Team plans
- Included storage 5TB → 3 TB. Pricing will be $25/TB after the included 3TB
Who will be affected?
This change affects all Pro and Team plans starting from the next renewal date of your subscription after June 19.
If you’re on an annual pro plan, you will keep 5TB and 3 included members for the duration of your current billing period. For example, if your subscription renews September 2026, you’ll keep current benefits until then after which the new limits would apply.
If you have 1 member and < 2TB of data stored (or 3TB for Pro) your usage is still under the new limit so your pricing won’t change.
When will the changes kick in?
The new limits apply from your next renewal date after June 19. If you're on monthly billing and your plan renews June 25, the new limits apply June 25. If you're on annual, you keep your current limits until your annual renewal date.
Will we get extra notice before the change happens?
Yes, we will send another reminder before June 19 to give you time to make updates to your plan or storage and members. Additionally, you'll receive notification if your workspace is approaching or over the new limits before any additional charges are applied.
How do I check my current storage usage and member count?
You can your storage usage in Settings —> Storage, and your member count in the “Members” tab from the left sidebar.
What if I have a discount applied on my current plan pricing (eg. 50% lifetime)?
Discounts will hold for the promised duration and just apply towards your new total base price. For example, if you are on the Pro plan with 2 members and the 50% lifetime deal, your new price will be $24 / mo *50% = $12/mo after your plan renews.
Why are you making these changes now?
As we continue to invest in faster infrastructure, better reliability, and new features, adjusting our pricing structure became necessary to reflect Playbook usage and value. Additionally, the cost of supporting large storage and multi-member workspaces has grown significantly as we've scaled. To keep building the product sustainably (and keep the lights on for the long run), we needed to bring the plan limits more in line with how most Pro users actually use Playbook. Changes like these aren't easy and it wasn't a decision we made lightly.
What are my options now?
- Stay on your current plan:
- If you are on Pro and over the new member limit, you can check if you have members in your workspace who are no longer active and remove them or move them to guest seats to stay within the new limits without any added cost
- If you’d like to lock in your current benefits for longer, we are offering 30% off annual subscriptions:
- Switch to annual Pro or Team at 30% off

What happens to my files if I cancel or downgrade?
We hope that you can continue to use Playbook, but if you choose to cancel your subscription, your files will remain in your account. You just wouldn’t be able to upload more and certain features may be restricted.
