Effective date: September 15, 2025
The following Product Terms are published by Playbook Digital Inc. ("Playbook") and apply to the customer agreeing to these Product Terms ("Customer" or "you"). If you are agreeing to these Product Terms on behalf of a company (such as your employer) or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that company or other legal entity to these Product Terms. In that case, "Customer" or "you" refers to that company or other legal entity. These Product Terms are incorporated into Playbook's Terms of Service (the "Terms of Service") by reference. Playbook's Terms of Service is available at: https://www.playbook.com/terms
1. Plans & Limits
- Free plan (effective September 15, 2025): up to 300 active assets, 3 guests per workspace, 5 shared links, 3 nested sub-boards.
- Artist & Designer plan ("A&D"): new applications are paused. Existing A&D workspaces will be subject to legacy limits of 500 total active assets, 3 guests per workspace, 5 shared links, and 3 nested sub-boards as of October 31, 2025. Existing items above the limits will be grandfathered (see section 3).
2. Key definitions
- Active asset: a file, asset or item that is not archived and counts toward your quota.
- Archive: a state that removes an asset from active counts; archived assets do not count toward active quotas and have reduced functionality (do not appear in the global search, cannot be shared, commented or downloaded until restored).
- Grandfathered item: an item (asset, guest, link, board structure) that exceeds a new limit as of an Effective Date and is preserved under these Product Terms.
3. Grandfathering, retention & archive
- Items that exceed set quota as of the applicable Effective date will be grandfathered and generally remain available for viewing and downloading. Some create/duplicate/edit/share functions for grandfathered items may be restricted to enforce limits.
- If an account remains over the applicable limit for one (1) year without corrective action (upgrade, archive, or deletion), excess content may become eligible for deletion. Playbook will send multiple advance notices and provide an export window and appeal instructions before any deletion occurs. Deletion is a last resort. Playbook will not silently delete or remove access without providing notice and export window except where required for security or legal reasons.
- Archiving removes assets from the active count and preserves them in your account with limited functionality.
4. Publish, shared links & derivative assets
- Shared links and Publish pages are subject to the shared-link quota. A shared link created before the Effective Date that causes a Customer to exceed the new limit will be treated as grandfathered link in the same manner as assets.
- Derived files (AI outputs, mini-apps, versions): Outputs from Playbook features (for example, derivatives created by mini-apps, or AI-generated outputs) may count toward your active asset quote according to our counting rules. If we change counting rules, we'll publish the change and explain the impact.
5. Billing, upgrades, cancellations, proration
- Upgrade path: Upgrading immediately increases your quotas per the plan you select; proration rules follow as mentioned in the Terms of Service.
- Cancel / downgrade: If you cancel a paid plan, your workspace will revert to the applicable lower plan at the end of your billing period and be subject to the lower plan's limit. You will keep access to your files to the extent provided by the lower plan (view/download), but creating additional assets may be restricted by any applicable quota. For billing mechanics and proration rules, see the billing pages and the Terms of Service.
6. Enforcement, abuse detection & appeals
- Playbook prohibits abusive conduct (piracy, illegal content, non-creative bulk backup, automation abuse, etc.). Playbook may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations and may restrict functionality pending review. If you believe enforcement was incorrect, contact support at support@playbook.com. Playbook will review reasonable appeals and provide a human review for significant cases.
